This was a production book assignment where we had to take a fairytale/folklore and make our own retelling of it. I did pied piper.

So here is what I worked on:

A town overrun by rats faces ruin until a mysterious flutist arrives, using music to lead the pests to their doom. Promised payment by the mayor, he delivers on his end, but the town fails to uphold theirs. Betrayed, the flutist returns, not just to collect, but to teach them the true price of breaking a promise.
