This was a creature design packet assignment where we had to take a folklore from a random country and make a creature. I got the Nyami Nyami.
So here is what I worked on:
The Nyami Nyami was a half snake and fish creature that lived in the waters of Zambezi River. It is said that he would bring sustenance to the Tonga people. Around the 1950s to 1960s however, it was believed that the colonists angered the god because of the dam they built separating him from his wife, Kitapo.
